Weight lift!

Trying out weight lift animation with Remy the Rat from "Ratatouille". This took about 80 drawings...There's lots of things wrong with it but it's too much to fix and I'm running out of time, so I just left it the way it is. Hope I learned something from it and won't make the same mistakes again...

  2. I didn't look at all the dates they were uploaded but you seem to have improved a lot since I last saw you're stuff. like your animal drawings, they're just wonderful.
in terms feedback you've asked me for your animation, i don't have a lot to say other than they both look great. I like how you've captured kid's head in expression change peice (i presume..) so fleshy and alive. Very clear communication about how the kid's feeling about what he just ate too. good job :)

  3. I like what you did with Remy too. especially the moment when he's lifting up the object, there's nice sense of weight. A few minor things I'd point out is the arc of anticipation just before the lift, and follow through after the lift. You could fix them a bit to better to capture remy's weight getting carried through to help him lift the object up...also you could spend a bit more time on the follow through so that the object doesn't look lighter at the end.
I could probably explain this better in person. let me know if you'd like me to look over you're original drawing for this one.
Also, If you're still interested in me tutoring you, please send me the course code for 2nd year animation. I need to give it to career centor so that they sign me up with you instead of someone else.
    See you around :)
